Cabernet Vineyard

Our Cabernet comes from 2 vineyards located the Kenwood area of the valley. These vineyards were was entirely replanted in 1994 and 1995 respectively and are now really hitting their stride. The warm day and cool night temperatures of this part of the Sonoma valley coupled with the heavily graveled and sandy loam soils that characterize this region produce Cabernets with lush, black cherry fruit and earthy, terroir flavors. Cabernets from these vineyards are known for their soft and fluid tannins, which make them more approachable in youth yet still capable of longevity. The alluvial soils also contribute a distinctive almost chocolaty richness to Cabernets grown in this region. We source a combination of Bordeaux clones 337 and two intensively flavored ,historic Californian clones 6, and 7.
